I have created a visual reader profile which shows what my target audience would be interested in and the kind of objects they like.

Reader Profile; Publishers

NME publishers use reader profiles to create an average of what their readers are interested in. This allows them to create a magazine which readers shall be interested in and will want to buy monthly. The publishers can then create a magazine which fits the need of the target audience. Asking the target audience who they want to see on the front cover of the magazine will attract them into buying it as the main article is usually about the figure on the front.

My Reader Profile

From the research I have completed on other magazines with similar genre to magazine I am interested in publishing, I have created a reader profile that will describe the average reader of my magazine.

Rhinegold publish classic music, education and performing art magazines for the UK. The magazines include specialist magazines; music jobs available; online music search engine; music and performing arts directory; music and education supplements; teaching materials and schemes of work; free downloadable guides; digital magazines and apps.

The Press Complaints Commission (PCC) closed down on the 8^th September and changed its name to the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO). The IPSO is the new independent regulator for the newspaper and magazine industry in the UK.

Produces portfolios of magazines, digital products, radio and TV stations globally. In the music industry it helps publish radio brands such as KISS FM, Magic and Absolute Radio and magazine companies such as Q and Kerrang! For the TV, they provide 4Music, The Box, Heat, Kerrang!, Kiss, Magic, Smash His. Not only does it publish a wide range of music magazines, but it also includes women weekly magazines such as; Bella, Take a Break, that’s life!, TVChoice and Total TVGuide.
